Does Amazon Remove Items From My Wish List
Once a purchase is made from your Wish List, Amazon automatically hides the item to prevent duplicate purchases.
The item only stays on your list if you opted for multiples of the same item. You can go back and retrieve the list of the purchased items later on.
The item also stays on your list if you dont uncheck the Keep purchased items on this list box when setting up the Wish List.
In this scenario, the item will remain on your list with the date it was purchased indicated next to it.
Why You Need An Amazon Wish List
One of my favorite things to do before back to school time is create an Amazon wish list.
Last summer I found myself looking struggling to buy all the things I needed for the new school year. My family and friends usually offer to help out with supplies but I always feel guilty asking people to buy stuff for me, ya know?
While talking with my friend one night about how many things I needed while scrolling through Amazon and came across the Amazon wishlist tab. I started to play around with it and add some of my favorites. Afterwards, I made my list and posted it on Facebook, within a few days I was shocked to see how many of my friends and family actually bought things off of my Amazon wishlist!
Since then, so many of my teacher friends have asked me to walk them through creating their own Amazon wishlist. Ive put together this simple and easy guide to get you started!
Wish Lists Are A Gift Registry Just Like A Wedding Or Baby Registry But For Any Occasion
To explain how it works, Ill give you an example.
- Annie makes a wish list before the winter holidays and sends her list to friends and family who have asked for gift ideas.
- Annies family can view the list, select gifts from the list and purchase them.
- Amazon then ships the gifts straight to Annies door.
Will this spoil a surprise gift?
The default setting for Amazon Wish Lists is Dont Spoil My Surprise. Users can turn that setting off, but I assume most people leave it so that they can be surprised.
Annie is not notified that gifts have been purchased, or by whom until she opens the gifts and reads the note that comes along with the package.
Will multiple people buy the same gift from the list?
No. Once a gift has been purchased, it is removed from view so that the next person to look at it will not see it as an option.

Stop Alexa Voice Recordings And Erase Previous Recordings
- Launch the Alexa app on your phone
- Tap More icon to bring up menu
- Choose Settings
- Scroll to the bottom and choose Manage Your Alexa Data
- Tap Choose How Long to Save Voice Recordings
- Now select Dont Save Recordings
- Tap Confirm button
Amazon will try to dissuade you from turning off voice recordings by telling you that Alexa wont understand you since it will degrade her ability to record you. With mine turned off, I have noticed any changed or problem with her understanding me.
Get Your Amazon Gifts Delivered Quickly
Once you’ve found the wish list and decide what you want to buy, add it to your cart and go through the usual checkout process. If someone else tries to buy the same item, they’ll get a warning that it’s already been purchased.

Finding Someones Amazon Wish List
You can easily find the wish list of someone that you need to buy a present for as long as their list is set to be visible to the public and then you can follow these steps.
- On the Amazon search page, there is a Find a Registry or List option. Click on it.
- Now, you have to enter the name of the person whose wish list you want to view
- You can also click on Add friend
- This will then make visible all the public wish lists of that particular person.
Amazon has the option to add friends so you can always search for someones wish list from your list of friends.

The Amazon wish list gives great insights to sellers on what is trending and facilitates brand engagement. It also simplifies the whole process of gifting to a large extent and reduces wastage. How To Share Amazon Wish List From A Pc
- Open from a browser on your PC. Then, on the top right of the page, hover over Account & Lists and click Sign in.
- Once you have successfully signed in to your Amazon account, on the top right of the page, hover over Accounts & Lists . A list of options will be displayed.
- From the displayed options, click Your Lists.

How To Share Amazon Wish List From Amazon Shopping App
Amazon
- Open the Amazon Shopping App or Amazon App on your phone. Then, sign in to the App with your Amazon account.
- When the App opens, tap the 3 lines on the top left of the App. A list of options will be displayed.
- From the displayed options, tap Your Wish List.
When your Amazon Wish List page opens, sharing it is a 2-step process. Each step is covered in the 2 sub-sections below
Make Your Wish List Sharable from Amazon Shopping App
- On the top right of your Wish List page, tap More . Then, from the displayed options, tap Manage list.
- On the Manage list page, tap the Privacy drop-down and select or Public.
- Finally, to save your Privacy setting changes, on the top right of the screen, tap Save Changes.
Invite Others to Your Wish List from Amazon Shopping App
Once your Wish List is sharable, you can now share it. Here are the steps
- From your Wish List screen, you can either tap Invite or tap More and select Send list to others. See the second image below
- Then, on Invite someone to pop out , tap View only or View and Edit.

- Whichever option you select, a set of options will be provided. To share Amazon Wish List, you can tap Copy link .
- You could also tap E-mail or tap Text Message .
- To display more Share options, tap More. Then, select your preferred share option.
- Displayed lists will depend on Apps installed on your device.

Rearrange Your Wish List
The priority feature is great, but sometimes it is just better to have a wish list that is ordered the way you want it. To reorder items in your list, hover your mouse to the left of an item and then use drag and drop to reposition each item in the order that you want it. You can also click the link that says “Top” to instantly move an item to the top of your list.

See What Your Amazon Public Profile Looks Like To Strangers
Finally, let’s be sure your Amazon profile is protected correctly.
1. Sign in to your Amazon account. Click Accounts and Lists.
2. Under Ordering and shopping preferences, click Your Amazon profile.

How To Make An Amazon Wish List
An can be a handy thing. Use a wish list to create a Christmas gift list, a wedding or baby gift registry, as a reminder of things you want to buy in the future, or as a wish list of gifts you’d like for yourself. You could create all of those lists if you wanted. All you need is an account, and you’re ready to create your wish list.

Sharing Your Amazon Classroom Wish List
Once you have created your list, you can share it with your network by either pressing the invite button at the top left or the send list to others link at the top right. You have the option of sending the list directly to email addresses or copying the link and pasting it wherever you want. Note: some teachers are not allowed to ask students families to contribute to their lists, however, you can share it personally with your family and friends if they are willing to pitch in.
When you share, the list will change from private to shared, allowing only those with the link to see it. Setting the list to public allows anyone to donate items to your classroom, regardless if you sent the link or not. This is entirely up to you, depending on your comfort level. Regardless, it is up to the gift fairy to add his or her name on the packing slip or to keep the donation anonymous.

Adding Items To Your Wish List
Now it is time to go virtual shopping. As you browse Amazon, simply add items to your list by clicking the dropdown menu add to list, which is located on the bottom of the right-hand sidebar, underneath the buy now buttons. So fun and easy!

Why Everyone Needs A List Or Two
If you have an Amazon account, you already have at least one list created by default. It’s called the Wish List. However, why stop at one list when you can have two, three, or even four. Amazon lists can be used for all kinds of things. This means you can create separate lists for separate occasions. You can have one list for each of your kids, one for your spouse, one for your birthday, or even one for your wedding.
There is no limit to the number of lists you can have, so feel free to get creative. In my Amazon account, I created a “Maybe List” to save things that I am still thinking about or still have to do some research on. When I decide that something on that list is worthy of my hard-earned money, I move it to my wish list. Products that don’t make the cut are deleted.

I know this is not the solution for every family or group of friends. Thats fine. But I think that it will work for a lot of people, because it definitely works for our family!

Yes You Have An Amazon Public Profile
As an Amazon shopper, you have a username and a password. That’s standard for any site. You may not realize that as an Amazon customer, you also have a profile visible to other Amazon users.
Your public profile is created automatically, whether you want it or not, and it contains your comments and any ratings that you have left on products purchased on the site. If you reviewed any food delivered through Amazon Restaurants, those reviews are also visible even though they shut down this service last year.
Your biographical information and other site interactions are also posted to your profile. Thankfully, your public profile doesn’t include your purchases or browsing history, but it’s still very informative.
To control what is visible on your public profile, follow these steps:

How Do You Know If Someone Purchased Something On Your Amazon Wish List
When someone makes a purchase from your Wish List, you will receive a notification unless you have selected to set up a spoiler alert.
A spoiler alert prevents you from buying something off your list by mistake and you wont know someone purchased something from your Wish List until the gift arrives.

Are Amazon Wish Lists Anonymous
It is anonymous to an extent. If you are making purchases from a wish list, it can be shipped to whichever address. However, all the information related to the wish list owner will not be displayed. Only their name, the city they reside in, and the state that the address belongs to will be displayed to the buyers in keeping with the privacy norms. Things like your street address and very personal information will not be displayed.
Make Your Lists Private
There are two main lists on Amazon, the Shopping List, and the Wish List. Many people use their Wish Lists for gift ideas, but we often use Wish Lists as a log of items we dont want to forget.
The trouble is, anyone in the world can find your Wish List by searching your name. Granted, if your name is John Smith, you may not be easy to pinpoint. But if strangers find out where you live, they may be able to deduce and identify your profile.

Sharing The Wish List Link Directly
If your wish list is Shared, you need to send the link to those you want to share the list with.
From your list page, select the list you want to share.
Click Send list to others.
Click View Only.
Click Copy Link to share the link yourself or click Invite by Email to send the link via your default email client, such as MS Outlook, Apple Mail, or Mozilla Thunderbird.
Close the pop-up window once you’re done.

How Do You Know If Someone Bought Something off Your Amazon Wishlist. Amazons Wishlist may notify you on the items page when someones purchased an item on your list. You can also see by selecting Purchased or Purchased and Unpurchased from the Filter & Sort drop-down menu at the top of your list.
