Graphics Card Stock Alerts
You could attempt to manually refresh every store page in the hopes of striking gold on the next restock; that’s one way to go about it. Or, you could sign up to a trusty app that goes about trawling major retailers for you. It’s not a bot that tries to snap up stock the wrong way, it just does the refreshing so you don’t have to.
We’ve had success with the app HotStock in the UK, and sites such as Stock Informer offer a similar service in the US, although we’ve not used this service to score stock personally.;
Some services may charge a small fee or require a sign up to notify you ahead of the rabble, and we recommend you only do that with services with good reviews. Sometimes it will get you ahead of the crowds, but you don’t want to give up all your personal info just to net a new GPU. Proceed with caution.
Similarly, you can find plenty of free Discord servers with dedicated stock alert bots and eagle-eyed community members, such as the popular StockDrops server. Then there are the heaps of dedicated Twitter accounts, like our sister site Tech Radar’s very own Matt Swider.;
And don’t forget Twitch streams. Those dedicated to finding you stock will often fire out a deafening klaxon the moment stock appears. We recommend checking out Falcodrin on Twitch for Nvidia GPUs, but there are plenty of kind souls out there offering a similar service.

Amazon Business Model And Share Price History
Amazons e-commerce model is one of the most copied business models in the history of business. After hundreds of dot-coms went bust in the early 2000s, Amazon continued to thrive. The online bookseller expanded into digital entertainment, computing and mobile products. Today, most any retail product can be bought on the site.
Amazon has successfully leveraged its core strengths in digital marketing and virtual business operations into markets outside of retail e-commerce. AWS services, its cloud service that helps businesses move operations online, has 32 percent global market share.
As an online retailer, Amazon benefits from network effects, especially social media effects across its over 2 million sellers and 300 million users worldwide. These amplified effects make brand identity a more powerful marketing tool.;So it is no coincidence that Amazon had one of the top brand values in 2019, a measure of the percent a brand contributes to earnings . Online ad and network effects helped sell $50 billion in products in 2019, increasing total revenues 20.5 percent to $280 billion.
Winning the cloud wars; Almost 50% of Amazon revenues are coming from outside of the core retail e-commerce business. The more profitable cloud computing and digital advertising businesses both grew sales at 30+ percent in 2019.
Amazon stock performance;
Flat For The Past 12 Months
Amazon stock has returned an impressive average of 32% per year over the past decade. However, unbeknownst to many, shares of the Seattle-based company have been flat for the past 12 months against a rallying S&P 500 that has climbed 29% during the same period.
Let us not pretend that AMZN is a bargain at a current-year P/E of 65 times. Shares continue to be priced roughly in line with the companys strong fundamentals. But history has taught us that buying Amazon stock during pullbacks tends to yield better one-year forward returns. See chart below.

Decide How Many Shares To Buy
You should feel absolutely no pressure to buy a certain number of shares or fill your entire portfolio with a stock all at once. Consider starting small really small by purchasing just a single share to get a feel for what its like to own individual stocks and whether you have the fortitude to ride through the rough patches with minimal sleep loss. You can add to your position over time as you master the shareholder swagger.
New stock investors might also want to consider fractional shares, a relatively new offering from online brokers that allows you to buy a portion of a stock rather than the full share. What that means is you can get into pricey stocks companies like Google and Amazon that are known for their four-figure share prices with a much smaller investment. SoFi Active Investing, Robinhood and Charles Schwab are among the brokers that offer fractional shares.
Many brokerages offer a tool that converts dollar amounts to shares, too. This can be helpful if you have a set amount youd like to invest say, $500 and want to know how many shares that amount could buy.

How To Reduce Risk
The most effective way to reduce risk is through diversificationowning a large array of stocks in many different economic sectors so that if one stock or even one sector suffers a major setback, it will represent only a very small percentage of a portfolio.
If one day Amazon delivery drones start attacking pedestrians and the stock craters, wont you be better off if Amazon represents just 1/100th of your portfolio versus ½?
One simple way of receiving broad exposure to markets is by purchasing a mix of domestic and international low-cost ETFs . Though ETFs trade on exchanges just like individual stocks, many contain dozens or even hundreds of stocks. Or have an automated investing service do this for you. With one single purchase, youre able to track some or all of a countrys entire economy rather than putting all your eggs in one stock basket and zeroing in on a handful of stocks.

Theres heated debate on both sides of the spectrum, that Amazon will not be able to sustain its current rate, or that it will be subject to price-earnings contraction. In addition, its possible that investors could become less enamored by Amazons future growth possibilities.
Furthermore, you can find less expensive ways to load your plate with e-commerce and cloud trends. Buy during price drops if youre worried about overpaying for shares.

Demand For New Amazon Services
Apart from selling products online, Amazon has kept taking up new business lines such as Amazon Prime, Amazon Virtual health, and Amazon pharmacy. The demand for these services will play a significant role in the price of Amazon stocks. For example, the 2002 launch of Amazon Web Services saw the share prices shoot up from about $16 to $52 within no time. While a slow demand for their new services may not have a significant negative impact on their share prices, watch out for increased demand in these services as a good sign to buy Amazon shares.
Technical Analysis Of Amazon Stock
In the stock market, timing is critical. So when you’re looking for stocks to buy or sell, it’s important to do the fundamental and technical analysis that identifies lower-risk entry points that also offer solid potential rewards.
The IBD Stock Checkup tool shows that Amazon stock has an IBD Composite Rating of 85 out of 99. That’s up from 71 last week. The rating means Amazon stock currently outperforms 85% of all stocks. That’s in terms of the most important fundamental and technical stock-picking criteria.
But its Relative Strength Rating is a weak 54, but up from 38. The rating tracks market leadership by showing how a stock’s price movement over the last 52 weeks measures up against that of other stocks. Ideally, look for stocks with a rating of 80 or higher.
In addition, Amazon’s relative strength line had dropped substantially, which is a negative sign, but is rebounding. A stock’s relative strength line compares the stock’s daily price performance to the S&P 500. An upward-sloping RS line means the stock is outperforming the S&P 500. A downward-sloping line means the stock is lagging the S&P 500.

AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT
Now it’s been a few weeks since the launch of the AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT on August 11, but oddly enough there’s still some stock available of the RDNA 2 graphics card.
AMD isn’t selling a reference card this time around, so you’ll have to pick from a vast array of third-party designs. Some are close to the card’s $380 MSRP and others are really not. We’d recommend against the latter, unless you’re really desperate and don’t mind the expense.
As I’m writing this I can see at least one model of RX 6600 XT available in the US at Best Buy for roughly $70 over MSRP. Personally, I feel that’s too great a sum to pay for such a card, but it’s not the worst markup for a graphics card you’ll find in 2021 by any means.
