No one likes weeding the yard or garden, but its a particularly big pain in the butt when you dont have the right tool for the job. Thankfully, I found the ultimate weeding tool a few years back. Thats why we dont see these other products popping up: the risk youre taking is just too big, said Wilhelms, who pointed out that large companies like Amazon are always risk-averse.

Its 2021. Amazon has not killed liquor retail as we know it. Consumers have not shifted their alcohol purchasing habits. Amazons entry into the alcohol game is still so creaky, in fact, that Ive spent part of the past hour trying to figure out if I can get Amazon alcohol delivered to my home in Seattle. I still dont know if its possible.
According to several past articles, the companys Prime Now service delivers booze to customers in 12 select citiesincluding Seattle. So where are they hiding it?
Bottles of alcohol arent pool floaties or water balloons . Selling booze requires compliance with 50 different sets of complex alcohol regulations across 50 states. Beyond the 50 sets of state regs are further sets of county and city regs. It aint easy. Thats why Amazon has tried it in only 12 cities. The liquor merchants in those cities arent closing down because of Jeff Bezos. Most liquor buyers in those cities dont even know Amazon sells whiskey, and this one cant figure out how to order Brown Sugar Bourbon in Seattle.

How Many Season Of Weeds Are There On Netflix
Weeds is all about single mother Nancy Botwin and her life in suburbia after the sudden death of her husband, Judah. Played by Mary-Louise Parker, Nancy sells weed to the residents of her town to provide for her two sons, Silas Botwin and Shane Botwin.
Throughout the shows award-winning run, topics like immigration, international crime, and the hardships of parenting were explored. And it redefined how suburbans moms were portrayed on TV. Despite the shows success, Parker had some notes.
One of her critiques was about the Weeds theme song. She told a fan on Reddit in 2014 that she had to fight to get the original theme song, Little Boxes, added back for the shows final season.
The final season was added to Netflix on March 14, 2013. All eight of the shows seasons are currently on the streaming service.

Is Weeds Coming Back
Weeds was created by Jenji Kohan, whose name you probably recognize. If not, you know her work. Kohan is the mastermind behind Orange Is The New Black and GLOWboth of which are Netflix original series.
Lionsgate announced in 2019 that a Weeds sequel is in development at STARZ with Parker reprising her role, but Kohan is not attached to it.
According to Deadline, STARZ CEO Jeffrey Hirsch told the Television Critics Association in January 2020 that they had spoken with Kohan, but she is still not involved in the reboot. He said:
We are doing the show with this new take and Jenji is not involved. The Lionsgate TV folks have talked to her and continue to talk to her about, not only this show, but various other stuff that theyre talking about. And Im not really sure how those conversations are going. But, again, were very excited that in this new world of cannabis, theres a lot of story to be told. And Im very confident in the Lionsgate TV groups ability to come up with a great show and deliver a great story.

The Devil Is In The Detailsof The Legalization Bill
National legalization, via the MORE Act or Chuck Schumers Very Secret Forthcoming Bill, is unlikely to create an open-market free-for-all. Marijuana will remain tightly regulated, state by state, just like alcohol, unless the language in those bills changesto something, say, much friendlier to an Amazon delivery model.
This is where things get tricky. Its much easier to influence the language of a bill youre supporting than one you oppose. Perhaps Amazon has learned from its alcohol experience. Perhaps its lobbyists are working to bend Schumers forthcoming bill into something that would allow the company to move with greater ease in the weed industry.
Perhaps its up to those of us who want a fair, equitable, and diverse cannabis industry to step up and make our voices heard on Capitol Hill and in our own state legislatures. Thats where the industrys national and state frameworks will be constructed. Amazons lobbyists are already shaking hands and forming relationships. If you can be therego. Talk to your local member of Congress. Book time with your state representative. Tell them about your cannabis job, your medicine, your patients, your place in the community.
If you cant be there, support the organizations that amplify your values. Because Amazon is already walking the halls amplifying theirs.

Why Was Weeds Removed From Netflix
The show was taken off the US version of the streaming platform as it came to the end of its licence with Netflix.

In the past, like many employers, weve disqualified people from working at Amazon if they tested positive for marijuana use. However, given where state laws are moving across the U.S., weve changed course. We will no longer include marijuana in our comprehensive drug screening program for any positions not regulated by the Department of Transportation, and will instead treat it the same as alcohol use. We will continue to do impairment checks on the job and will test for all drugs and alcohol after any incident.
Amazon has been drug testing employees for cannabis use? Hang on. This is a company so embedded in its hometown of Seattle that it insists on being sued, if you must litigate, on its home turf of King County, Washington. Thats a district in which cannabis has been legal for all adults for more than eight years. Clark apparently just got the memo last month.

The series has been streaming on Netflix for well over a decade with new seasons hitting Netflix pretty much from the inception of the streaming service in the US. The final season, season eight, was added to Netflix in the US in March 2013. All eight seasons are now set to be removed from Netflix on April 1st, 2021.
Weeds Is Being Removed From Netflix
Lionsgate is preparing Weeds for syndication. Selling the rights of the show to the various television networks proved to be a lucrative deal for Mad Men, which is why it was pulled from Netflix. Weeds seems to be on the same track.
Netflix will remove all eight seasons of Weeds on April 1, 2021. Given that Lionsgate owns STARZ, and thats the home of the upcoming reboot, Weeds will likely end up on the STARZ app after leaving Netflix. However, CBS is also one of the shows distributors, so it could also head over to Paramount+.
Its not known when the show will be available on other streaming services once it leaves Netflix, so be sure to finish your re-watch tout de suite.
